TronicsPay Lost or Stolen Device Policy
Introduction
At TronicsPay, we are committed to preventing the purchase and resale of lost, stolen, or fraudulently obtained devices. Every device submitted to us undergoes a verification process before payment is issued.
Device Verification
When your device arrives, we record its IMEI, serial number, or other identifying information and verify its status using carrier records and industry-standard databases.
Devices are checked for:
- Lost or stolen status
- Blacklist status
- Insurance claims
- Fraudulent activity
- Activation or ownership restrictions
Payment is not issued until this verification process is complete.
If a Device Is Flagged
If a device is found to be lost, stolen, blacklisted, associated with an insurance claim, or otherwise ineligible for purchase, TronicsPay reserves the right to:
- Cancel the transaction
- Request proof of ownership
- Place the transaction on hold while ownership is verified
- Cooperate with carriers, insurance companies, or law enforcement when appropriate
If a device becomes blacklisted after it has been shipped, including due to an insurance claim, carrier report, financing fraud, or ownership dispute, TronicsPay may cancel the transaction and handle the device as required by applicable law.
Customer Certification
By submitting a device to TronicsPay, you certify that:
- You are the lawful owner or authorized to sell the device.
- The device has not been reported lost or stolen.
- The device is not associated with an active insurance claim.
- The information you provide is accurate.
Zero-Tolerance Fraud Policy
TronicsPay has a zero-tolerance policy for fraud and stolen property.
If a customer attempts to sell a lost, stolen, fraudulently financed, or otherwise unlawfully obtained device:
- The transaction will be canceled.
- The customer's TronicsPay account will be permanently banned.
- We reserve the right to investigate previous and pending transactions associated with the customer.
- Any additional devices connected to fraudulent activity may be retained without payment as permitted by applicable law while the matter is investigated.
Cooperation with Law Enforcement
TronicsPay fully cooperates with law enforcement, carriers, insurance companies, and fraud investigators.
If we determine that a device has been stolen, obtained through fraud, involved in an insurance claim, or connected to criminal activity, we may provide the device and all relevant transaction information to the appropriate authorities.
Devices turned over to law enforcement will not be returned by TronicsPay. Any request for the return of the device must be made directly through the investigating agency.

To avoid delays, please:

- Back up your data before performing a factory reset.

Our Commitment
The vast majority of devices we receive come from honest customers. Our verification procedures are designed to protect legitimate sellers while helping prevent stolen or fraudulently obtained devices from entering the secondary market.
